I took this back Feb. 27... we had such heavy fog that day, it just kept rolling in and out - I really enjoyed it though, it makes for wonderful photo opportunities.. especially out at YVR right on the water. I went out for the evening needing to get away and was greeted with lovely aeroplane arrivals with condensation off the wing and everything. The airport was in CAT 5 lighting at the time this was taken allowing for the approach lights to be fully on which never really happens. The green and red you see mixed together along the ground is the threshold of 26R and the terminal of course in the background.
The title has nothing to do with the photo, I know but it relates more to my feelings than anything else.
wow...this is glorious....the contrast of the deep dark blue of the night and the glowing jeweled lights
are incredible. you make the airport seem magical...more like a magic carpet ride than a 747
żGot color contrasts? <insert jaw dropping on floor>
Beautiful contrasts, shimmering light ... truly awesome.
Those lights look bright from here ... imagine up close?
I love the way you put that Thank you very much, I'm so glad you get the feeling I have with the airport. I am thinking of spending the night there tomorrow. It will be empty for photo opportunities and my mum has gone out of town
Would you take a ride of a magical carpet or a 747 if you had a choice?

This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.
