...And it's not coming off

The water whisked over the top of my body, not nearly as gentle as my emotions those moments. My knees were up, pressed against my chin. Tears... tears, even with my eyes not open, they poured down these freckled cheeks. Not knowing what to do, or where to go... I sat, not moving an inch. Warm water, from the top ...the only thing to wash away my tears while I remain on the shower floor. Waiting, out of sorts... again.
